Frequently asked questions

Have a question before your first class? Explore the answers to our most common inquiries below, or call or text us directly at 972-729-9845 to speak with our instructors.

Is karate safe for beginners?

Yes. Every class is age-appropriate, carefully structured, and taught in a supportive environment by experienced instructors. No previous martial arts or athletic experience is required to begin.

Which class is right for my child or me?

We offer dedicated programs designed for specific stages of development: Hatchlings (ages 3–6), Dragons (ages 7–12), and classes for teens and adults. We will help match each student to the best class based on age, maturity, and experience.

Can total beginners join your programs?

Absolutely. Total beginners are always welcome. You do not need any previous training or a specific baseline fitness level. Our instructors provide patient, step-by-step guidance from your very first day.

How often should students attend classes?

Most students train twice per week. This regular rhythm allows students to consistently develop martial arts skills, physical fitness, self-defense awareness, focus, and personal discipline.

Can we try a class before signing up?

Yes. New students can reserve a free introductory class on Tuesday or Thursday. Booking ahead allows our instructors to prepare for your visit and provide individual guidance. Call or text 972-729-9845 to reserve your spot.

What should I wear and bring to my first session?

Please wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows easy movement, such as a T-shirt and sweatpants or workout pants. A traditional karate uniform is not required for your first session. Remember to bring a water bottle and arrive about 10 minutes early to meet your instructor.

What should I expect during my first karate class?

You will experience a warm, friendly welcome, a light warm-up, and clear step-by-step introduction to foundational stances, basic blocks and strikes, and practical self-defense techniques in a safe, encouraging environment.

How do memberships and contracts work?

Membership options and contract terms vary by program, age group, and attendance plan. We explain all tuition, payment, commitment, and cancellation details thoroughly before enrollment so you can choose what works best for your family. There is never any pressure to enroll after your trial class.
